The Shed 2021

The Shed BBQ Steak Showdown 2021.....What a wild and eventful weekend we had in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. It’s always a fun trip headed down to The Shed for an awesome time with barbecue friends and family. The weekend started off with sort of a rough start. Friday night on arrival we got our area ready and set up with our canopy for the next morning. Around 3 AM in the morning, a huge storm came through. We were all worried about our comp setup. The next morning at 8 AM we completed our steak selection and were welcomed with a hearty breakfast by The Shed staff. We returned to our competition area and it was flooded and destroyed. The rest of our equipment was pulled out of the area with a tractor. We quickly regrouped and headed to Academy to purchase some new equipment, a new canopy, and the girls some water boots. David and Colton found us I better and dryer spot to set up our gear. The day progressed and became beautiful. Warm weather with a slight breeze with great friends made the day awesome. We got our comp meats turned in and we were pleased with them. We ended up getting 25th in ribs. In the end barbecue competitions are about barbecue family, friends, and coming all together. Another great weekend in the books!
